Marriott Marketing Activation | Interactive RFID Experience

Overview

Delekit was proud to support the team at Ignis in delivering a unique interactive experience for Marriott International at their Commercial Connections & GSO Exchange event in the Algarve, Portugal.

The idea

The concept, led by Ignis, invited guests to discover their personalised traveller type through a series of interactive touchpoints designed to reflect Marriott’s diverse travel brands. Each activity offered a mix of insight and entertainment, helping attendees connect with the brand’s values.

Our role

Working closely with Ignis, Delekit delivered the technology that powered every interaction. Our team designed and implemented a custom RFID-driven platform that tracked each attendee’s journey across the event. Using a branded RFID card, guests could tap in at any of the nine touchpoints to log their responses.

Behind the scenes, our system captured real-time data and calculated one of 27 unique traveller archetypes, based on how each participant engaged with the experience. The platform handled data logic, live reporting, and journey progression to ensure smooth operation throughout the three-day event.

The experience

Guests moved freely between three themed zones, each focused on a different element — music, culinary, and sport. At each digital touchpoint, they engaged with content and answered a short question that helped shape their personal profile.

At the end of the journey, each guest received their traveller archetype as a printed postcard, creating a memorable and tangible connection to the experience.
